Deleting your data
AppLock has no accounts, so there is no account to delete and nothing of yours sitting on a server of ours. Everything the app stores is on your device, and you control it directly.
Deletion is permanent and we cannot undo it. There is no cloud backup. Move anything you want to keep out of the vault before you delete.
Delete everything stored on the device
Either of these removes all of it — vault media, intruder photos, your PIN hash, locked-app list, settings and key balance:
- Uninstall AppLock. Android deletes the app's private storage with it.
- Or clear its storage: Android Settings → Apps → AppLock → Storage → Clear storage.
Delete only part of it
- Vault items — delete them individually inside the app, or restore them to your gallery first if you want to keep them.
- Intruder photos — delete them from the intruder gallery in the app.
- Locked apps — unlock any app from the app list.
Advertising and analytics data
Data collected by Google's advertising and analytics services is held by Google, not by us. To limit or remove it:
- Reset or delete your advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising across every app on the device.
- Withdraw advertising consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): uninstalling and reinstalling the app presents Google's consent form again, where you can choose Do not consent.
- Analytics is tied to a per-installation identifier that is discarded when you uninstall the app.
Purchases
Your purchase history belongs to your Google account, not to us, and we cannot delete it. Manage subscriptions in the Google Play app under Subscriptions. If you reinstall AppLock and sign in with the same Google account, "Restore purchases" brings back anything you bought.
