AppLock

Terms of Use

Effective 28 July 2026 · Last updated 28 July 2026

These terms apply to the Android app AppLock, published by Finish Up. By installing or using the app you agree to them.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use AppLock on devices you own or control. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse-engineer it except to the extent that law expressly permits.

2. What AppLock does and does not promise

AppLock is a convenience lock. It stores your vault files and intruder photos in the app's private internal storage, which other apps cannot read, but it does not encrypt them, and it is not a secure vault in the cryptographic sense. It is not designed to resist forensic tools, rooted devices, or a determined person with physical access to your phone.

Because Android manufacturers customise background behaviour, we cannot guarantee that the lock service survives on every device or that every locked app is caught instantly in every circumstance. Do not rely on AppLock as the only protection for anything you cannot afford to lose or have seen.

3. Your responsibility for your data

Everything AppLock stores lives only on your device. There is no cloud backup and no way for us to recover anything. If you uninstall the app, clear its storage, reset the device, or lose the phone, the contents of your vault are gone permanently. Keep your own copies of anything important, and remember your PIN — we cannot reset it for you.

4. Purchases, subscriptions and keys

AppLock is free to install and supported by advertising. It also offers optional purchases, processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Google Play and are subject to Google's refund policy. Request refunds through Google Play. If you are in a jurisdiction with a statutory withdrawal right, that right applies regardless of anything in this section. Where we can help with a refund request, write to us.

5. Advertising

The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, and some optional rewards are granted for watching an ad voluntarily. What that involves for your data is described in the privacy policy. Attempting to falsify ad impressions, rewards or key balances is a breach of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

Use AppLock only on devices you own or are authorised to configure, and only in ways that are lawful where you are. Do not use the intruder-photo feature to photograph people covertly where doing so is illegal. Do not use the app to conceal unlawful material.

7. Disclaimer and liability

AppLock is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. You may stop using AppLock at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend access to paid features if these terms are breached.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you live.
